Abstract

|
An alternative methods for production of chimeric mice was developed that involves the simple co-culture of 8-cell embryos on a lawn of ES cells. After aggregation, those embryos develop to the morula or blastocysts stage before implantation into foster mothers. We obtained 9 chimeric mice. The percentage of production of chimeric mice by this method was almost same or more effective than injection, and blastocysts stage than morula. Thus, this approach should be handy and simple tool of production of chimeric mice.
